Understanding your clients
In a usability test actual users of your target group are observed while interacting with your Web site, Intranet, Extranet, software or product – you name it. Usability tests are an essential tool for understanding your customers.
Signposts to a truly user centred product
The results are often surprising and big eye-openers, and their implementation will lead to multiple benefits depending on your product.
Expertise combined with high flexibility
We are able to perform the test in a usability lab or do field tests with a portable usability lab. Before the test we will look at the key purpose and strategy of your site together and define the goal of the test: is the focus on an acceptance test of a product innovation or a relaunch, or on a design comparison of two prototypes, or is the focus on security aspects and absolute avoidance of errors?
It is also important to test the right people. We will support you in defining the number of people who need to be tested to achieve valuable results and in recruiting the right people for the test. Video recording, eye tracking or attention tracking can be performed on request.
The report - solution-oriented and clearly structured
The usability report is chiefly recommendation-based in order to provide you a practical guide for optimising your site. We use everyday language and illustrate the key findings with video clippings from the test. We follow industry standards such as the CIF and ISO/IEC 25062:2006, so that it becomes transparent how usability was measured. With the report you will receive:
- An executive summary high-lighting the strengths and weaknesses at a glance and additional insights from the users.
- The body of the report will include an in depth description of the tests findings with clear recommendations for improvement.
- In a spread sheet you will receive a list off all issues and recommendations. The recommendations will be prioritized as critical, important, or nice-to-have, depending on the severity of the issue, the frequency of its occurrence and the overall importance to the user.
We will present the key findings and recommendations to you and your team.
Dust collectors - no thanks
Once you have received the results we will not leave you on your own. Whenever you have questions or need support implementing the results our information architects, designers and programmers will be able help. Everyone in our team has a broad understanding of the user-centred design approach.
